Scholar support in Casablanca, BEN MSIK
Description: Linguistic support for children
This project is the fruit of a partnership between CSM, the Ministry of Education and other non-profit organizations that work with disadvantaged children.
Type of Work: • Five days of work per week and two days off, not necessarily on week ends (depends on the work schedule.)
• 4 hours of work per day in the morning.
• Teaching of English or French or both according to their capacities.
• The association will organize some extra activities such as animation with the kids.
Accommodation: volunteers will be living with a host family living within a 10 min walk to the school.
Important highlights: Toilets in Morocco are usually Turkish bath style. For the male volunteer, there won’t be a normal shower, only a hose they can use to clean themselves. However, in summer Casablanca can reach 32 degrees so the water comes out warm anyway.
International volunteers can also ask the national ones to show them the Hammam (public baths). Actually, you should try it once at least, it is indeed a very relaxing and enjoyable experience and has many virtues for the skin
Language: English, French
Approximate Location: Primary School Jamal Eddine Alfghani darab friha ben msik
