A flea market for Ethiopia: new ways of international solidarity
Descripción: The flea market in Imola is organized for more than 40 years and it is supported by many volunteers each year. Its aim is to raise funds for the mission of the Friars Minor Capuchin of Emilia-Romagna. This year the project is intended to support the Duga clinic and the community of the region of Dawro Konta (Ethiopia). In this region there are no state health structures and the only emergency facilities are small clinics founded by the Capuchin friars. The Duga clinic, run by Father Raffaello Del Debole, a missionary for 50 years in Ethiopia, is of great importance in Dawro Konta and needs funds to support the infrastructure, the training of health workers (nurses and doctors), medical materials and medicines.
Tipo de trabajo The volunteers are going to support the setting up and the management of the flea market.
