Refugee Center Linin (near Warsaw)
Description: There are 12 centers for asylum seekers in Poland. Most of the refugees in Poland are Chechens and Georgians. Linin is a small town close to capital of Poland. The aim of the workcamp is to bring the energy of volunteers and the spirit of international solidarity to the centre. For most of children it will be probably their only chance to participate in well planned, interesting activities during the summer.
In leisure time volunteers can visit Warsaw, an old castle near Refugee Center, or Gora Kalwaria, the city nearby.
Type of Work: Organising games, art classes, sport events, outdoor activities for children and teenagers from the centre.
Study Theme: Refugees in Poland and worldwide;
Accommodation: Close to the refugee center in Linin, in the local school.
Requirements: Knowledge of Russian language will be very welcome and helpful, but not necessary. Interest in working with children and in refugees.
