In this sense, it currently includes a kindergarten, a primary school, a vocational school, and a daycare center. In addition to this, part of the volunteers' work will also involve supporting the Porta Solidária project and Associação CASA, two solidarity restaurants in the city that prepare and offer meals every day to people in social and economic vulnerability.
Type of Work: During the morning and early afternoon, the volunteers will work at Perpétuo – Educação e Cultura. In this workcamp, their tasks will include helping to maintain a community garden, restoring a mud kitchen, and painting a mural in the gym. They will also participate in community activities, including physical exercise activities with the elderly and sports activities with children and young people. In the late afternoon and early evening, the volunteers will be divided into two groups, and each group will support one of the solidarity restaurants. The main tasks at both restaurants will include helping to prepare and serve meals to people in need, as well as washing dishes and cleaning the space.
Accommodation: Volunteers will be accommodated in the sports hall at Perpétuo - Educação e Cultura, with access to changing rooms that have showers and toilets. The organization will provide mattresses, but volunteers should bring a sleeping bag and pillow. As for meals, volunteers will be able to prepare breakfasts and snacks using the food provided. On weekdays, they will have lunch in the Perpétuo - Educação e Cultura canteen and dinner at the solidarity restaurant where they will be working. On weekends, meals will be taken at local restaurants.
