Permaculture and sustainability in Sant Feliu de Pallerols
Description: Resilience.Earth is a no-profit cooperative in Sant Feliu de Pallerols which aim is to create and develop a social and ecological change starting a process of regeneration of the community and the environment and building a more resilient future. The workcamp will impulse the creation of the communitary vegetable garden for improving the town's resilience and sustainability.
Type of Work: Volunteers will be creating the water system for a 4ha of municipal land in a Natural Park of the Volcanic zone of the Garrotxa. The tasks will be: stabilize the terraces, increase the water infiltration to the ground, redirect and collect runoff water to irrigate in a natural way, create a pool that will be used to irrigate the garden at the bottom of the field, increasing biodiversity to prevent pests and increase fertility, create the basis for developing educational spaces. The workcamp activities will be included in the daily life of the village (local products, meeting the community and getting to know the cultural elements of the region).
Study Theme: Volunteers will get a good insight on permaculture, ecology, food sovereignty and no violence. There will be a introdution course in natural water management, from the Permaculture approach. They will have also the possibility to participate in forums and know about experiences of citizen participation
Accommodation: Volunteers will sleep in tents in a camping with kitchen, toilets and showers. Foods (preferabily ecological and vegetarian) will be prepared by the volunteers.

Requirements: Write us a motivation letter and explain us why you would like to be part of this specific workcamp. A basic knowledge of spanish is recomended but not mandatory.
