Description: The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity.This project is a platform for volunteers and other interested members where they become stimulated to contribute their own ideas and energies, thus contributing to live debates on sustainable issues. This will be realized through community events, interactive sessions on the SGDs and their targets, capacity building for community stakeholders and dialogue with local Government authorities in relations to SDGs and the targets.
Type of Work: Hands-on activities: Planting trees is a great way to help sequester carbon emissions. Volunteers will be helping Provide wildlife habitats & support biodiversity. SDGs Education and awareness activity aims to inform volunteers , community members and all targeted about Sustainable development goals, mobilize great support for action for SDGs grassroots participation and providing tools to engage critically with global development issues to foster ideas and change attitudes for example trough workshops.International Volunteer Day (IVD) mandated by the UN General Assembly, is held each year on 5 December.Volunteers will organise variety of activities to mark the day.
Accommodation: Meals: Three meals will be provide each day at the accommodation including vegetarians. We will have kitchen volunteer responsible in meals preparations, however volunteers shall also be expected to help in meals preparation and dish washing. Accommodation: At the communal house in the community. Rooms will be shared between 3-4 people, no bed but mattress on the floor (Comfortable enough). Water and electricity will be available. No washing machine available.

Requirements: Basic knowledge in development work: Potential volunteer in this project shall be the one who is interested or who want to know more about local and international development issues. A person who is open minded, open to learn and contribute, informed about what is happening in his/her community and a bit globally.
Approximate Location: Kilimani is a small community out of Dodoma city. All social facilities are available in this community since it located in a very strategic point. Telecom services, Heath, Recreational and restaurants, Banks among other are easily found. Public transport from the community to the city center is well organized and accessible.
Notes: The project is organized in a way that provides opportunity for participants to utilize their free time by enjoying what the region offers in terms of cultural and natural attractions.
Volunteers are expected to join activities for about 6-8 hours a day. Sometimes is very flexible and it can be less or more. We will have 3 hours lunch break between morning and afternoon activities.
