Inclusion through creativity and entertainment
Description: Social Multidisciplinary Center is part of Municipality of Tirana, Albania.The mission of the center is to improve quality of life for vulnerable people and build social services in the community. The center offers daily services for elderly people in need, homeless children, children with special needs, and families in need of assistance.The aim of the work camp is to use creativity,for increasing interpersonal skills of young people and kids of a fewer opportunities such as social and economical obstacles,kids coming from families with divorced parents, unemployed, early school leaving, risk to work and be abused in the street etc .The center provide activities for those categories,to provide education,entertainment and learning by doing activities,and so the volunteers will be involved
Type of Work: Volunteers will work from 4 – 6 hours a day.
- Volunteers together with the kids will work on creativity like creating any artistic products with recycled materials, painting, drawing, pictures etc.
- Open space for your ideas and free daily activities, for example showing any video, movie, making any game, energizers, working groups etc. Volunteers have a choice of deciding in a group when to have 1 day and half off, preferably at the mid-work camp-During their free time the volunteers have the opportunity to visit the visit Tirana city,Kruja city and its historical part, Durresi city and other parts of Albania depending on the preferences.

Accommodation: The accommodation will be in shared room at the Social Multidisciplinary Center .At the same place where the working venue is. The volunteers will cook themselves in the kitchen of the center. The daily center is established in the very city center which creates facilities for volunteers during free time to visit places around it.
Language: The official language in Albania is Albanian. In Albania there are many young people who can speak English however if you ask for any directions.
Requirements: Volunteers are required to think in advance and prepare themselves to present the various culture elements of their countries, such as dance, music, traditions, food. They can use pictures, PowerPoint presentations, videos, films, documentaries, etc.Please bring with you anything presenting your culture

Or alternatively if you come earlier than meeting point timetable, you may go directly to the Daily Center , which is 3 min walk from Teatri i Metropolit. The Daily center is behind the Ministry of Justice at Bulevardi Zogu i Pare.
