Description: The workcamp is organized in cooperation with the Local Action Group (MAS) Radbuza and the municipality of Kozolupy. MAS Radbuza aims to protect regional values such as well-preserved nature, aesthetic landscape, local culture and healthy environment; and to support citizen initiatives at the local and regional level, including support of small enterprises, housing, education, and use of leisure time, etc. The workcamp aims to help the municipality with the maintenance of a church and revitalization of orchards. You will also have an opportunity to experience life in the countryside. At this workcamp, you will actively contribute to the achievement of UN SDG11 Sustainable Cities and Communities and UN SDG15 Life on Land.
Type of Work: You will help to maintain the local church including cleaning statues, washing tiles, sanding benches or painting beams. You will also work in a municipal orchard where you will repair fences, cut old trees and bushes and clean the area. Depending on the current need, there will be other tasks in the village. At the end of the workcamp, the village hosts the traditional music festival Rock Summer on Me. Workcamp participants will help with the preparation of this event and subsequent cleaning. All work activities will take place within walking distance.Study part: Having discussions with local people and the members of the Local Action Group, organizing a sports tournament with the local community, an international evening focusing on gastronomy, and an excursion to the city of Pilsen and the most important monuments of the area.

Accommodation: In the local cultural centre. You will sleep in one of the halls of the centre on mattresses or gym mats. Please bring your own sleeping bag. There are toilets and showers in the building and also a small improvised kitchen. You will prepare breakfast together as a group, and lunch and dinner will be provided in a local restaurant, so you can taste traditional Czech cuisine.

Requirements: This workcamp is suitable for people with hearing impairments/deafness, hearing impairments/deafness, lighter types of disadvantages such as economic, social or health. Due to the limited outgoing resources of INEX-SDA, we kindly ask participants to contribute 10 EUR towards the costs of the general incoming administration of our workcamps. The fee will be collected upon arrival. Please note that this fee ds not directly contribute to the workcamp budgets.
Approximate Location: Location: Kozolupy (1,100 inhabitants) in the Pilsen Region. It is located near the Hracholusky Dam and about 10 km from Pilsen.Leisure: You can go on a trip to Pilsen and visit the famous brewery, go on a hike and explore the region (e.g. Chotesov Monastery, a historical town of Dobrany, Krizovy Vrch observation tower), swim in the Hracholusky Dam, or do other sports activities etc.
