Description: Pakistan is a male dominant society, and SPSD-Pakistan believes in promoting equal opportunities for rural girls and women and tries to empower them regardless of their gender and cultural background. The ultimate objective is that rural girls can participates and contribute in the society for positive change. SPSD-Pakistan use Sports as tool for gender equality and women empowerment and for fostering a culture of diversity and respect. The project will encourage rural youth and community to protect their environment through tree plantation and promoting organic kitchen gardening. Due to gender sensitive culture, young female volunteers having interest in gender equality, climate justice or Sports are encouraged to apply. Bicycles will be provided to the volunteers.
Type of Work: The volunteers will work with community, particularly with rural youth in their daily agriculture related work. They will take a lead in tree plantation and promote kitchen gardening to promote and protect Green Climate in the area. The helping hands of volunteers for rural youth will lead them into good relation with local youth and community. The volunteers will teach the rural girls how to ride the bicycle and play with them table tennis, badminton or volley ball. In this way, the volunteers will create gender equality and give direction to rural girls for their socio-economic empowerment and being stand up for Climate Justice in the target areas. The volunteers will also interact with local community, learn and exchange the values, culture, and traditions of the local people.

Accommodation: The volunteers will live with their host families in the target village. The host will cook food and serve the volunteers, wash their clothes and provide every possible ease and comfort to their guest’s volunteers. There will be a summer and rainy season during work camp. The Pakistani food have lot of diversity and volunteer will enjoy the local food. At weekends, the volunteers will spend two days in SPSD-Pakistan main office. The SPSD staff and volunteers will go to river side, eat traditional food and have lot of fun.
Language: English will be the mode of communication. One or two SPSD staff will work as volunteer and as well as translators for the community and international volunteers.
Requirements: Nothing to bring with you extra or special. The host community and SPSD –Pakistan’s staff will try their best to provide you every possible comfort and ease. Feel as you are coming at your home.
