Cambodian Youth Action (CYA) is a not for profit and we haven't received any funding support from any funding agencies therefore, all participants are required to pay their participation fee.

Description: CYA – Global EDUCATION CENTER (GEC) aims at providing free alternative education for children and teenagers to develop their self - confident, support them in creating their dream for the future, and to make education their first priority. At the same time, children and teenagers enroll in GEC get free access to learn languages, computer, and to have access to global education/information through internet and our library. The center is located in Svay Thom Village, Prasat Bakong district, Siem Reap province. We welcome all motivated volunteers to join us in making change in this community and learn great thing from this community as well.

Type of Work: Volunteers will working on organizing different workshop, training, and activities to support students learning and development. Volunteers will also teaching english to students and join construction activities to renovate GEC classroom, beautify the campus, and build building for GEC office, library, and computer rooms.

Study Theme: Related to Arts, Education, Music...

Accommodation: Volunteer will stay together at volunteer's house inside the village. Food will be prepared by local chef but you will be asked to serve, clean, and wash dishes by yourself.

Language: English is the basic language used in the camp.

Requirements: Being able to communicate in English and motivated to work and live in local community.

Organization Description: CYA is a youth development organization who works to promote global education among Cambodian children and youth, improving living standard of the community, and actively preserves environmental resources through engaging with international volunteers who come from all over the world. CYA organizes workcamps, which allow global volunteers are to live, work, learn, share as family who is compassionate in discussing and solving global issues.
