Description: This project is actively working for SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDGs 11 (Sustanable City and Community), organize together with Mimuragaoka Management and Administration Council since 2018. Mimuragaoka is in Mima city in Tokushima pre. located in Shikoku region. This facility is located on the altitude of 500m and there is a view of the magnificent Asan mountains in the north and a beautiful panoramic view to the south. The large 6,895 ㎡ facility is in a village that has a depopulation problem. They need support from the youth to help them preserve the village and the beautiful views and to help farm at the household with elderly farmers.
Type of Work: Volunteers will stay at the village in the sky Mimuragaoka and support the village by pulling weeds from abandoned fields and help with pruning trees in the forest around the village, in order to preserve the beautiful view and so on. Also, you will take care of the flowers called Fujibakama. This flower is known for its sweet scent that attracts beautiful chestnut tiger butterflies.
Study Theme: Preserving village life in a depopulating area.
Accommodation: A community center and lodging facility Mimuragaoka. Meals will be cooked by volunteers by turns. Sleeing bag is No need.

Requirements: 6,000 JPY (44 USD by the rate on 2023 Feb. 24th) of NICE Volunteers fee need to be paid in advance either by Card or PayPal. This is used for the project preparation/ coordination such as the transportation of the camp leaders while the meals and the accommodation are provided by the local host by free.
Approximate Location: It is in Mima-city, Tokushima prefecture.
