Description: This project is aimed at providing young girls and women/widows in the community with skills in shea butter oil, local slippers, weaving of kente and batik making among others. Through this project these deprived members of the community are empowered to get a trade to better their economic situation. For the widows especially, once they lose their husbands who are the bread winners of the families, their economic situation becomes very miserable and intervention like this becomes very needful.
Type of Work: This project is aimed at providing young girls and women/widows in the community with skills in shea butter oil, local slippers, weaving of kente and batik making among others.
Study Theme: TRAIN YOUNG GIRLS AND WOMEN ON HOW TO MAKE SHEA BUTTER, WEAVING OF KENTE, LOCAL SLIPPERS, LEATHER WORKS, ETC.
Accommodation: Volunteers will live with host families. They will be provided with breakfast, lunch and dinner. Volunteers will learn the culture of the locals and vice versa. Volunteers are advised to come along with mosquito nets, working boots (for tree planting project), nose mask, water bottle, medication, flash lights, bed sheets, games/musical instruments, social/casual clothes, toiletries and other personal needs necessary for camping.

Requirements: Each international volunteer pays Є300. The fee covers the following: • Airport pick-up on arrival by WOSOVO. • Hotel stay for two nights to familiarize with the city of Accra before moving to project community. • The volunteer will pay transportation from Accra to His/her Placement site and back to Accra after the completing of his/her program. • Administration fees. • Hosting and feeding during
