Description: Nested in the mountain ranges of the Himalaya, Dehradun is one of the oldest cities of India and is recently declared as the Provisional Capital of newly created Uttaranchal (Now Uttarakhand) State in the month of Nov’2000. Also known as the ‘Adobe of Drona’, Dehradun has always been an important center for Garhwal rulers which was captured by the British. The Campsite- Dehradun Hills Academy is a Boutique Residential K-12 School affiliated to CBSE – India. Our campus is comfortably located 40 minutes away from the city in a verdant suburb surrounded by pristine mountains, majestic Sal forests, and farmlands perfectly suited for mindful learning and healthy living.
Type of Work: Get involved to learn different plantation techniques along with hands-on planting experience at various spots. Get a great chance to participate with locals for the annual cleaning festival at a local Suswa river. Work on Plastic pollution and its Sustainable solutions. Get mingled with local community to understand about how nature and activities related to it impacts their life cycle. Visit Rishikesh- The World Capital, exploring the ashrams and other aspects of the city.
Accommodation: Accommodation at the boarding facility of the School. Simple yet comfortable accommodations with Fans and lights, clean Beds, and Bed sheets will be provided to Volunteers and Purified drinking water, Indian and Western toilets are available.
