Purpose of extra costs:
The fee will be used for living expenses (gas, water, electricity, food, transportation), materials used in projects/activities, and financial support of our organization. Volunteers’ fee is our only income. We are not funded by any governmental sectors.

Description: During those 2 weeks, we will organize children’s activities at DaLaa Voluntary Service Community in Kok Sak village for Thai children from 7 to 13 years old. The activities and camp’s daily life organized by volunteers should be strongly connected with our community values, authenticity, responsibility and inclusion. Besides, they should allow children to be in a harmonious and safe environment. English language is poorly understood by the children, so we’ll have to find possibilities to overcome this challenge with the help from our coordinator and Thai volunteers.

Type of Work: 1- Create fun activities for the kid such as games, sports, art etc. 2- Provide a non-formal English classes for the kid. 3- Activities with villagers: cleaning the temple area, sport activities, homemade dessert

Study Theme: We aim to organize summer activities for local children in a non formal education way. We build a safe and respectful environment while proposing creative learning and recreational activities in an international culture environment. Harmonizing the team of volunteers is the first step before to spread our love to the children. We need to organize a various range of activities depending of volunteers skills and interests.

Accommodation: Volunteers will sleep in the tents and small huts. There will be thin mattresses, yoga mats, pillows, and mosquito nets. There are basic toilets, showers, and a kitchen. We will take time to cook together. Volunteers will be welcome to cook their own food using the ingredients available there.

Language: Local people speak in Thai language. You will have chance to learn basic conversation but we will exchange in English language in the team.

Requirements: The volunteers should be ready to stay in a local area, and to adapt to the local conditions with only basic facilities. Be prepared of the kids’ poor English skills. Volunteers should be able to be with the kids and prepare some games and materials for activities.

Approximate Location: The project is situated in Songkhla province, not far from Hatyai city in South Thailand. This is a tropical and rural area with a lot of space and a small lake around.
