Workcamp Details

Description: Due to limited access to education and untrained teachers, the situation of underdeveloped countries like Nepal are more fragile. In order to educate the Nepalese youths, we have devised the “Volunteer Teaching Program”, which covers a number of projects such as Teacher Development and English Teaching for public schools . English is an international language, and it plays a vital role in competing and succeeding in the global job market. Students at community/public schools are more likely to lag behind as they lack proficiency in English. Well-educated and trained volunteers will be responsible for enhancing English proficiency of students and teachers at community and public schools.This teaching project allows children to develop and sharpen command in English language.

Type of Work: Chiefly, the volunteers will be teaching English to children between six and fifteen years of age. However, since schools are always in need of teachers, it’s possible for the volunteers to also teach Computer Math, and Science. Generally, schools in Nepal run from 10 am to 4 p.m. The volunteers will conduct 3-5 classes each day, and each class is forty-five minutes long. Saturdays are days off, and Fridays are half-holidays. We will painting the classrom.

Study Theme: Education , Festival and Cultural.

Accommodation: The school will provide the basic accommodation for all volunteers.

Language: English ,Nepali and Tamang.

Approximate Location: The drive from Kathamandu to Balthali takes about 1.5 to 2 hrs (38 km). We will pickup at airpot.
